Viatera® Advantages
Stain-Resistant
Viatera® is made primarily of natural quartz (93%) which
is an impervious crystalline mineral that is particularly resistant
to absorption. When adhered with the polyester resins, Viatera®
becomes a material that is non-porous and extremely stain resistant,
qualities that are unique to quartz materials. Unlike other products,
Viatera® does not require the application of sealant to ensure
its non-porous attribute.
Scratch-Resistant
Natural quartz, the majority of the Viatera® makeup, is classified
as the fourth hardest mineral on earth, by Moh's Hardness scale,
a scientific tool utilized to measure the composition of minerals.
The only materials with a higher ranking are topaz, sapphires, and
diamonds. This quality makes Viatera® nearly impossible to
scratch or chip.
Heat Resistant
Although Viatera is Heat Resistant, it is recommended that trivets
and/or hot pads be used when working with hot pots, pans or any
other kitchen items that produce a high amount of heat.
Advantages of Viatera® vs. Granite
Viatera® offers unparalleled quality to any design project.
Due to the clarity of the quartz stone, and the patented, advanced
technology of polyester resins and colorfast pigments, Viatera®
provides a durable surface that is non-porous, and more resistant
to heat, scratches, and stains than other products. All of the 12
colors were inspired by the natural beauty of the earth and are
backed by the industry's only 15-year warranty.

Color Selection
Each of the 12 Viatera® colors were inspired by the raw beauty
of the earth and named after different stunning regions throughout
the world. The palette contains colors that vary from soft and serene
to passionate and intense. The clarity of the natural quartz particulates
provide a beauty that can not be achieved by other manufacturing
methods or techniques.
Consistency in Color
The manufacturing process of Viatera® melds nature and modern
technology into an unparalleled surfacing material. Due to the natural
quartz minerals which are mined out of the earth and utilized in
the creation of Viatera®, a possibility of slight color variations
and particulate concentrations may cause minor color disparities
however, these distinctions add to the authentic look of all quartz
and stone surfacing materials.
Size of Viatera
Viatera® comes in the following slab sizes:
2 CM (approx. 3/4") 55" x 120"
3 CM (approx. 1¼") 55" x 120"
Are seams visible when using Viatera®?
Prior to fabrication, a standard slab of the Viatera® product
is 55" x 120". Any countertop or project that exceeds
this measurement will contain a seam. When installation occurs the
materials of the project are adhered together with custom matched
adhesives that minimize the visibility of the seams.
Are lamination lines visible when using Viatera®?
Just like other stone surfaces, lamination lines may be visible
depending on the requirements of the project. Viatera® is
available in two different thicknesses, 3/4" and 1 1/4".
As with all stone products, a lamination line is visible when two
pieces of 3/4" material are adhered together to create a 1
½" front edge.
